Nicolas Marcoux, Chief Executive Officer of PwC Canada, and Laura Dottori-Attanasio, Senior Executive Vice-President and Group Head, Personal and Business Banking, Canada at CIBC, are joining forces as the 2022 Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada Gala – Teddy Bear Affair Honourary Co-Chairs. The Foundation is proud to honour Nicolas and Laura in this role for their commitment and dedication to improve the lives of families, children and youth involved in the Canadian child welfare system as members of the Foundation’s Campaign Cabinet. Laura is also a former Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada Board Member.
Nicolas Marcoux
Nicolas Marcoux is Chief Executive Officer and Senior Partner of PwC Canada. He began his career with PwC in 1989 and was admitted to the partnership in 2000, and has a track record of engaging and inspiring teams to seize opportunities and innovate.
He has served a wide range of clients and industries as Corporate Finance partner and the Lead Relationship Partner on many of the firm’s key clients. Prior to becoming CEO, he was a member of the
Canadian Executive Team as the National Managing Partner of Consulting and Deals, and Managing Partner of the Montreal office. He was previously the Managing Director of PricewaterhouseCoopers Corporate Finance Inc., where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions.
In addition to his responsibilities with PwC, Nicolas is dedicated to his community as demonstrated by his involvement with several organizations. This includes as a cabinet member of the Futures Transformed Campaign Cabinet of Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada, the United Way in the GTA and the Montreal Symphony Orchestra.
He is a graduate of the University of Sherbrooke with a bachelor’s degree in business administration (1991). He is a Canadian chartered accountant (1993) and Fellow (2014), and also holds the Corporate Finance designation (CF).
Laura Dottori-Attanasio
Laura Dottori-Attanasio is CIBC’s Senior Executive Vice-President and Group Head of Personal and Business Banking, Canada. She leads Personal and Business Banking, which includes the teams that provide advice, services and products to best meet the needs of clients through their preferred channels as CIBC seeks to help make their ambitions a reality.
Laura is a strong proponent for improving communities and creating brighter possibilities for everyone. She is currently a Co-Chair of the Futures Transformed Campaign Cabinet for Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada. In addition, she is a member of the Board of the C.D Howe Institute, the Board of Trustees of Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, the Board of Trustees of United Way of Greater Toronto (UWGT) as well as a member of UWGT Honorary Chairs Council and the Canadian Foundation For Physically Disabled Persons’ “A Seat at the Table”. Laura is also CIBC’s Executive Sponsor of the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure.
Laura is a member of the WXN “Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada” Hall of Fame and has been recognized by the Association of Fundraising Professionals with the Outstanding Volunteer Award and received the King Clancy Award from the Canadian Foundation for Physically Disabled Persons. She resides in Toronto with her husband Mark. They have four children and three dogs.
