The Joe Carter Classic Golf Tournament in support of Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada

Inspired by a desire to give back to the Toronto community, the Joe Carter Classic Golf Tournament was created in 2009 by Major League Baseball and Toronto Blue Jays legend Joe Carter, his business partner Chris Samdeo and event Chairman James Dodds.

The Classic brings together avid golfers and top sports and entertainment celebrities to participate in a two-day golf tournament to raise funds for the Foundation. Now in its 17th year, the Classic has become one of the top celebrity golf events in North America, raising over $3 million over the past decade and a half for children, youth and families affected by child welfare.

Over the years, the Classic has welcomed many celebrities and athletes to support its cause of helping children and youth in care – from Jayna Hefford and Tom Cochrane to Doug Gilmour and Jose Bautista.

In 2021, AMJ, a longstanding and dedicated supporter of Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada, joined TD and Callaway as a co-presenting sponsor, while Pierre Frappier, AMJ President and CEO, joined Joe Carter as event chair.
