2025 Foundation Gala with Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada

Teddy Bear Affair

2025 Foundation Gala

The 39th annual Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada Gala – Teddy Bear Affair was an unforgettable evening of meaningful connections, generosity, and a shared commitment to improving outcomes for children, youth and families.

Since 1986, the Teddy Bear Affair has raised over $40 million, funding critical programs that strengthen families, support children and youth, and help those leaving the child welfare system achieve stability and independence.

Led by Gala Co-Chairs Geoff Beattie and Michael H. McCain, with support from Patron Sponsors Generation Capital and McCain Capital Inc., $1.4 million was raised.

The Gala welcomed more than 500 guests, including Her Worship Olivia Chow, the Mayor of Toronto, and Minister Michael Parsa from the Ministry of Children, Community, and Social Services. Youth ambassadors took centre stage with Conner and Tiago co-hosting, Sheniquah and Crystal sharing powerful stories of resilience, and Bill and James producing and performing original new songs for the evening.

We also paid tribute to The Honourable Margaret Norrie McCain, an advocate for high-quality early childhood education and care, and showcased her extraordinary contributions as a champion of Canada’s youngest citizens.

As this annual autumn tradition turns 40, we invite you to join us for another evening of impact, wonder, and community in support of children and families from care. Watch this space for more details — coming soon!
