Allies in Action: Shorcan Brokers Limited

Shorcan Brokers Limited (Shorcan) held its 21st Annual Charity Day this year, raising more than $720,000 in support of a range of Canadian charitable organizations. Each year, Shorcan donates revenue from the trading day to a variety of designated charities. This is the second year that Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada’s Stand Up for Kids campaign has been among their beneficiaries.

“Shorcan is proud to host its Annual Charity Day contributing to organizations that provide vital services and aid to our Canadian communities, the places where we live and work every day,” said Michael Gibbens, President, Shorcan. “We are proud to Stand Up for Kids through this initiative for the second year in a row.”

The funds raised and contributed to Stand Up for Kids will help to strengthen families at risk of abuse and neglect, support kids in care with the opportunities they deserve, and empower youth transitioning out of child welfare to build a stable successful future for themselves.

Thank you for standing up for kids, Shorcan!
