By funding high-impact programs and services provided through our agency partners, we’re helping our priority populations access the support they need to thrive. For families at risk of becoming involved in the child welfare system, these supports are directed at strengthening family units to help ensure fewer children and youth grow up in government care. Children and youth currently in care can receive support to help them succeed in school such as tutoring, access to technology, and funding to help meet personal needs like getting eyeglasses. They’re also able to connect with peers through extracurricular activities and enrichment programs to help strengthen their physical and mental well-being. Finally, for youth who are transitioning out of child welfare, education, employment, financial literacy, and other supports directed at having their basic needs met help them to build independent, successful lives for themselves.
