Bringing with her a wealth of not-for-profit experience and fundraising leadership. Valerie has been closely tied to children’s charities throughout her career including Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation.

“Valerie’s leadership comes at a time of great promise for the children’s aid foundation,” says current chairman and interim CEO Joe Canavan who will work with Valerie and the leadership team during this transition, resuming his position as chair of the board as well as his roles in many of the sub-committees.

Valerie brings with her a wealth of not-for-profit experience and fundraising leadership. Throughout her career, she has been closely tied to children’s charities, serving as the past president and CEO of Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation and most recently as CEO of the Canadian Olympic Foundation.
