Volunteering at the Foundation

The Children's Aid Foundation is a small organization and we rely on our amazing team of volunteers to help us in our fundraising activities. We are always looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to help with a variety of jobs. There's no better way to gain experience, meet some great people and make a difference in your community.

So help us to help those children and youth in need - we couldn't do it without you!

Together we make a difference in the lives of children- one child at a time.

Event Volunteers

We have a number of special and community fundraising events throughout the year that require the assistance of volunteers in order to ensure that they run smoothly and successfully. From set-up to teardown, there are a variety of positions that need to be filled. Please look below to see our current volunteer opportunities.

Thank you volunteers!

Holiday Season Celebration

A heartfelt thank you to our volunteers at the Children’s Aid Foundation’s 32nd annual Holiday Season Celebration! The Holiday Season Celebration’s purpose is to create a welcoming and fun atmosphere, encourage positive experiences, and foster long lasting memories and with your help we were able to do this for over 500 foster children and their families.

The Holiday Season Celebration is the Foundation’s longest-standing event and this year, children enjoyed an afternoon of excitement including musical performances, arts and crafts, a dance party, bouncy castles, a buffet lunch, carnival games and of course a visit with Santa Claus.

Thank you again to our volunteers including our corporate volunteers from CIBC, Equicom, Rona and Arup.

Teddy Bear Affair

Together we have made a difference! The 25th annual Teddy Bear Affair – With Glowing Hearts – raised 1.5 million dollars for vulnerable Canadian children and youth served by child welfare. We couldn’t have reached this milestone without your contribution.

With Glowing Hearts was a celebration of the best Canada has to offer, from the evening’s top-notch entertainers, Johnny Reid, Sass Jordan and Jarvis Church, to our talented gourmet chef, Jamie Kennedy, to special guest His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada and the generous spirit of Canadians.

Thank you to our amazing volunteers who stuffed gift bags, rolled napkins, monitored the silent auction, ushered guests, sold raffle bears and so much more. A special thank you to our corporate teams from CGI and Alcatel-Lucent.

A few images of our hardworking volunteers.
